The Arcam CDS50 plays CD and SACD however utilising the tremendous capabilities of the Arcam CDS50’s superb DAC is the ability play audio files and music streaming service playback. Playback scenarios are handled via a 32-bit Digital-to-Analogue Converter which promises high quality disc rendition while direct provision for computer/file audio has been made via the USB input and RJ45 network connectivity.

So, in addition to the CD and SACD disc formats (also CD-R and CD-RW compatible), the CDS50 supports files from MP3, to FLAC, WAV, AIFF, WMA and more. The free Arcam MusicLife iOS App allows streaming of music services such as Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer and more. In common with the HAD components, the CDS50 is supplied with a learning programmable remote control.

World famous Doug Brady Hi-Fi was born in Liverpool in the late 1950’s at the same time as turntables, vinyl and The Beatles. This cultural revolution with Liverpool at the centre, heralded the very first ‘Brady’ shop W.A.Brady & Son in the city's Smithdown Road.

Opened in 1960 W.A.Brady & Son was the start of something amazing and as word got around, turntable sales rocketed. Success soon followed with a flag ship store launched in Covent Garden London.

Doug Brady had a passion for all things music and was instrumental in establishing some of the UK’s finest ‘High Fidelity’ audio electronic and turntable brands such as Naim, Rega and Chord Electronics.

In the early 1980’s the business moved to a more central location half way between Manchester and Liverpool at Kingsway North, Warrington, Cheshire and that’s where we are based to this day.
