Cyrus DAC XP Signature Pre Amplifier DAC
The upsampling DAC (digital to analogue converter) at the heart of the DAC XP Signature transforms any music into the highest possible 32 bit resolution. The fullness, depth and quality of the sound this produces is really impressive. The amplification process of the DAC XP Signature has also been painstakingly tuned to produce the trademark Cyrus sound - quality and purity guaranteed.
Our engineers have created our most stable circuit yet, making sure that there’s no jitter and your music is perfectly timed throughout. The built-in preamp provides a full and clear sound output no matter what you're listening to - using our best preamp technology.
DAC XP Signature features and benefits
Derived from the limited edition, price no object Anniversary system, the 32 bit DAC allows any digital source up to
24/192 to be converted with the highest accuracy possible. Two stage upsampling design allows even the quietest details to be reproduced faithfully due to quad, high-precision 32 bit converters.
Balanced Pre Amplifier Design:
DAC XP Signature’s pre amplifier is a fully balanced, dual mono design. Both DAC and pre amplifier are powered by separate, high current toroidal transformers. Balanced or line level output allows the connectivity of matching Cyrus power amplifiers to produce our signature sound, the very best we achieve. This design also allows connectivity of analogue inputs as well giving the best of both digital and analogue sources.
Sample Rate Handling:
The DAC XP Signature is prepared for the wide range of sample rates available from today’s digital sources and beyond. Group 1 close tolerance performance is available for 32k, 44.1k, 48k, 64k, 88.2k, 96k, 128k, 176.4k, 192k source material. For sources outside of Group 1 requirements, any sample rate in the range 32k – 192k is accepted. Non-stereo waveforms (surround sound etc) are identified and suppressed to avoid undesirable digital noise.
The DAC XP Signature can be upgraded further with a PSX-R2 which is an instant sonic upgrade through improving the power supply section of the filter stage.
The microprocessor controlled operating system in the DAC XP Signature allows extensive programming of many functions within the unit. Input naming, differing display readouts and input volume matching across all sources are just some of the possibilities.
