Instead of not using parts with cosmetic faults Rega have decided to use such parts to build Green Grade Rega products. These products will function and perform perfectly and come with Rega unrivalled Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.

The Rega Planar 1 Plus benefits from all of the advantages of its sibling, the Planar 1, such as a low noise 24v motor, precision hub bearing assembly and hand made RB110 tonearm with a factory fitted Rega Carbon cartridge.

Added to the Planar 1 plus is a phono stage (preamp) built into the unit. This boosts the sound output to line level which allows connection to powered speakers or amplifiers that don't have a phono stage.

This multi-award winning ‘Plug and Play’ design utilises Rega's handmade RB110 tonearm, with pre-set bias and a factory fitted Carbon cartridge. Set-up is possible in under 30 seconds and delivers incredible performance well beyond its price point.

Remember, the only compromise is appearance never performance, and when you are listening to your music on a Rega Green grade product you can be safe in the knowledge you are helping our planet in the process.

World famous Doug Brady Hi-Fi was born in Liverpool in the late 1950’s at the same time as turntables, vinyl and The Beatles. This cultural revolution with Liverpool at the centre, heralded the very first ‘Brady’ shop W.A.Brady & Son in the city's Smithdown Road.

Opened in 1960 W.A.Brady & Son was the start of something amazing and as word got around, turntable sales rocketed. Success soon followed with a flag ship store launched in Covent Garden London.

Doug Brady had a passion for all things music and was instrumental in establishing some of the UK’s finest ‘High Fidelity’ audio electronic and turntable brands such as Naim, Rega and Chord Electronics.

In the early 1980’s the business moved to a more central location half way between Manchester and Liverpool at Kingsway North, Warrington, Cheshire and that’s where we are based to this day.
