The T+A HA 200 headphone amplifier is part of an all-embracing headphone series on the part of T+A, and is accompanied by the new Solitaire P headphones. Like the Solitaire series of loudspeakers the new Solitaire P symbolises the experience, expertise and commitment in the design and development of sound transducers which has been the hallmark of the Herford-based company for 41 years.
The Solitaire HA 200 is a completely new developed headphone amplifier which sets new standards in terms of technology and appearance. The impedance of the three headphone outputs can be accurately fine-tuned to match the headphones connected to it. The HA 200 is based on analogue T+A HV technology. Its high-performance output stages are of Class-A design and operate with a high idle current, enabling them to drive even the most demanding headphones without difficulty. The high-quality mains sections – one digital and one analogue with two separate torroidal transformers – ensure the requisite stamina. Like all of T+A’s most advanced current DACs, the new HA 200 includes fully optimized and completely separate decoding architecture for DSD and PCM, enabling the most refined decoding of all digital formats. PCM data is converted using our outstanding double differential quadruple converter for all the digital signal processing. DSD data are handled by our unique analogue true 1-bit DSD converter, which processes the DSD data in native form as a bitstream rather than converting them. This makes it possible to reproduce DSD data up to DSD 1024, as delivered by the USB input of the digital connecting board, to the highest level of quality.
