Incredibly immersive sound – however it’s configured
Giving you the most immersive sound at home, the Denon AVC X6800 H offers connectivity for four ceiling or Atmos-enabled speakers as well as full 7-channel surround sound. Alternatively, use two Atmos speakers and enjoy a broad soundstage with 'front wide speakers' forming a 9.4.2 system. If you don't fancy a Dolby Atmos specific system but want the most immersive sound possible, go for an 11.4 configuration. This offers 7.4 sound with the addition of front width and front height speakers.
Take it to the next level - 13-channel processing
If you’ve got a larger room or simply want the next level in enveloping sound, connect an additional stereo power amp and enjoy the added immersion of 13-channel sound processing. This facilitates a 9.4.4 system, with four ceiling speakers and front width speakers combined. Alternatively, configure as a 7.2.6 system with six ceiling speakers – ideal for larger rooms.
Effortless power
Utilising mono block power amp construction, this premium Denon AV amp puts out an impressive 140 watts per channel. With this level of power, you get effortless dynamics on tap. With movie explosions, for example, you get that intense ‘edge-of-seat’ sensation that keeps you glued to the action. Combined with all those channels, the sound has the ability to truly recreate the cinematic experience, at home.
Powerful processing for sonic precision
More than just a powerhouse, the AVC-X 6800 H has the accuracy and precision to match. At the heart of the Denon is a 32-bit DDSC (Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit), with Denon’s top-grade Alpha AL32 processor. Rather than using a single chip, it employs separate components to drive the various parts of the digital processing. Dedicated processing delivers greater precision and accuracy, across the board, giving you more lifelike and detailed sound.
Connect up to four subwoofers for balanced bass around the room
For the best-balanced bass, the AVX-X6800H has four passive subwoofer outputs. This lets you place a subwoofer in each corner of the room, giving a smooth, even bass response. With four bass channels, you can also use smaller subwoofers. This gives you a tighter, punchier bass whilst not missing any bass weight and depth.
Your choice of 3D sound formats
Whatever speaker configuration you decide upon, the AVC-X4600H has a surround format to suit. Compatible formats include Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced, Auro-3D and 360 Reality Audio. This vast range of options means you can adapt your surround sound speaker system from the simplest system with ‘virtual height’ speakers to full-blown 13.4 systems that truly bring the cinema home.
The AVC-X6800H has three HDMI outputs with an independent Zone 2 interface. This means you can run audio and video to another screen, in another room independently from the twin, main outputs. IP control capability for major third-party control devices, as well as Control4 SDPP (Simple Device Detection Protocol) certification, plus three DC triggers makes this AV amp ideal for more complex home installations.
Unique Dirac Live set-up*
For the very best sound in your room, Denon offer the option of powerful room correcting technology from Dirac Research. This uses a microphone and dedicated software to take multiple readings around your room and feed the information back to the amplifier for a completely bespoke response (professional set-up recommended).

Audyssey MultEQ XT32 for simple room set-up
Featuring Audyssey's high-end MultEQ XT32 technology, the AVC-X6800H adapts itself to your room's acoustics. The XT32 version of this automatic measuring and set-up device features include Audyssey Dynamic Volume, Dynamic EQ, LFC and SubEQ HT for total control. If you want to take this even further, purchase the MultEQ Editor App (at additional cost) and you've access to advanced user settings.
HDMI interface fully equipped for 8K
The AVC-X6800H is equipped for an 8K future. With no fewer than seven HDMI inputs, all of which are 8K and 4K/120Hz ready, you’ll have all the connectivity you’ll ever need. Two of the three outputs are 8K compatible, too. They support 8K pass-through, 4K/120Hz and 8K upscaling of 4K content, as well, ensuring you get the very best picture from legacy sources.

The enhanced HDMI interface makes this Denon AV amp the perfect choice for gaming. All HDMI inputs support 4K/120Hz and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) for the best resolution and clarity. Quick Frame Transport (QFT) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) help eliminate lag and frame tearing, giving you a smoother, more responsive gaming experience.
HEOS built-in - for the finest multiroom audio
HEOS multi-room music systems connect together by dual-band Wi-Fi, making them easy to set up with your existing home network. Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring that even the largest homes are covered for multiroom music. With HEOS already built-in, the AVC-X6800H is ready to go as a single 'zone' without any further adaptors.
Control it all with the HEOS app
Once you've set up your HEOS speaker system, you can stream music effortlessly via the dedicated HEOS app. Available for Apple iOS and Android, the app not only lets you stream your stored music but also Internet radio services and popular streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, Napster and Deezer.
