Audiolab
In 1980s the Audiolab 8300A integrated amplifier took the world by storm and soon became the entry level amplifier of choice for many. Audiolab was founded in 1983 by Philip Swift and Derek Scotland who's evolutionary approach to design, led to a small but instantly recognisable range of products including CD players and Pre and power amplifiers all at an affordable price. In 1997 the company changed names and became know as TAG McLaren Audio who also produced some well respected 'high end' electronics.
In 2004 the IAG group acquired the company and switched back to its original name Audiolab, with a view to bring back to life the 8000 series.
It was in 2010 the 8200 series was announced. going back to the original ethos of simple, well-constructed products with a transparent sound and great performance. This was followed by the 6000 series which won a multitude of awards and is again one of the best entry level range availably taking the company back to where it started way back in 1983.
