Enhanced Clarity
AudioQuest has introduced a new series of entry-level NRG power cables, incorporating advanced Noise-Dissipation technology from the Storm Series. The AudioQuest NRG-Z cables significantly outperform their predecessors, including the NRG-X and NRG-1/1.5/2 models. The NRG-Z3, which replaces the NRG-2, offers superior performance compared to previous higher models. It features direction-controlled Semi-Solid Concentric Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors, ZERO-Tech, and RF/ND-Tech, all designed to minimise system noise and enhance audio clarity.
Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) Conductors
The Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors are designed to minimise distortion caused by grain boundaries and surface discontinuities. This results in a remarkably smooth and pure conductor, which enhances overall audio quality.
Semi-Solid Concentric Conductors
The Semi-Solid Concentric conductor topology features tightly packed strands that remain fixed in position. This design significantly reduces distortion from strand interaction, thereby maintaining signal integrity.
ZERO-Tech
Unlike conventional AC power cables that may compress audio transients, AudioQuest's ZERO-Tech combines low DC resistance with zero characteristic impedance. This approach ensures uncompressed current transfer and optimal performance.
RF/ND-Tech
AC ground wires, often acting as antennas, are susceptible to RF noise induction. AudioQuest’s RF/ND-Tech, patented under US Patent # 8,988,168, utilizes a common-mode phase-cancelling array and proprietary dielectric materials. This advanced technology greatly reduces RF noise, providing superior noise dissipation across a broad frequency range.
Silver-Plated Drain Wires
Direction-controlled, silver-plated shield conductors efficiently channel RF noise from the line and neutral shields to the ground via the third "ground" pin. This design results in a more powerful, dynamic, and immersive audio experience.
Direction-Controlled Conductors
All drawn metal strands or conductors have a directional grain structure. AudioQuest meticulously manages RF impedance variation to direct noise away from critical areas. Arrows on connectors indicate the optimal direction for superior sound quality. This feature not only enhances noise dissipation but also ensures proper non-symmetrical attachment of shields and grounds, optimizing overall system performance.
