Pre-loved Atoll IN200 Silver Signature Integrated Amplifier in fair condition supplied in a box and packaging.

Fair – several marks and blemishes

Atoll’s IN200 Signature is an attractive if understated 120W per channel dual mono amplifier with a nice curve in its 8mm thick aluminium fascia. To keep the lines clean, however, it uses buttons in place of knobs and dials, which form the ergonomic brief of other integrated amps in the Atoll line. However, the IN200’s control surfaces (shared with the IN400 flagship) are well laid out with volume and balance buttons laid out in a logical diamond configuration. It’s tempting to throw in the ‘Gallic flair’ cliché here; the combination of its curves, ovals, and graphics gives the Atoll line a common, almost Art Nouveau look.

Apart from the volume and balance button diamond, the IN200 five line-only inputs – a optional phono stage can be added to one line input at a small premium – and a sixth marked ‘by-pass’. This allows you to use the power amp side of the IN200 only, which is useful in shared stereo/multichannel systems, or if you are upgrading to a pre/power system in stages. The IN200 also sports a fixed line input and output for a tape recorder (should you still own one) on the rear panel, and a solid ¼” headphone socket on the front.

Under the lid lies evidence of the IN200’s claim for dual-mono construction in the form of two mains transformers and a set of heatsinks on either side of the chassis. This explains how a fairly normal sized amplifier gets to specify an output of 120wats at eight Ohms that almost doubles to 200 watts into four Ohms. Two pairs of MOSFETs per channel should be up to delivering a decent amount of current when backed up by that kind of power supply.

The optional Phono P100 board, has a fully balanced diagram with discrete components, a configurable board (*) MM, MC low or high level with polarized discrete components in Class A, is designed to adapt to all cartridges on the market. In addition, the input impedance can be adjusted according to the turntable.

Testimonials

Bought some Rega Kyte speakers, stands and chords from DB online and they were incredibly helpful. They updated my delivery address very quickly and recommended a longer cut of cables which they did complimentary. They also noticed I didn’t order with banana plugs so called me back to double check, which I did mean to order. When i had some issues connecting my cables and speakers, I called for some advice which they happily gave. Excellent service and next day delivery to London. Thoroughly recommend.

Probably one of the best companies in the world. They had to special order in the speakers which took a fair bit of time, which is totally understandable, but they kept in touch with me throughout the entire time with updates (even on a Sunday!!!) and once the speakers were with them, they were dispatched and arrived next day.

The entire sound system that I purchased is insanely good, but still not as good as Doug Brady HiFi!

I have recently purchased a HiFi package with Doug Brady and I could not be more thrilled with my experience with them.
When I walked into the store, I was made to feel welcome and was introduced to some of the products. I produces a list of specific items I was interested in and John was really helpful in showing me these items. He set the system up so I could experience it, he made some suggestions which made the package even better. Nothing seemed too much trouble for him, he was very knowledgeable about the products and gave great advice. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything, or didn't feel that he was upselling at any point. I left with an amazing package and I'd like to thank John and the team for the fantastic experience.

It’s now two weeks since I bought home my new system and I wanted to say thanks again for all your help, advice and guidance, not to mention cups of tea. I now have a system that meets all my requirements and sounds fantastic. Special thanks to Jon, who I hope is on the road to recovery from his operation and to Roger, who helped me finalise my choice. The Rega Saturn, Hegel H190V and Dali Rubicon 2 is undoubtedly the best system I have ever owned.
