Efficient Reflex System
The Classic 15 features a ventilated volume system with a reflex port located at the base of the enclosure. The downward-facing port is coupled with a solid plinth, ensuring seamless room integration. Instead of using standard reflex tubes, the Classic 15 employs a fine-pored ceramic plate, eliminating unwanted flow noise for smoother sound.
Advanced Driver Technology
The speaker’s driver technology is highlighted by Audio Physic's dual basket design, a unique feature in the Classic series. This innovative design minimises the transmission of micro-vibrations, enhancing sound quality. Both the woofer and mid-woofer use glass fibre cones, optimised for their specific frequency ranges, ensuring clear, detailed playback. The midrange driver also benefits from a fixed phase plug for improved system ventilation, delivering natural and accurate sound reproduction.
Superior Tweeter Performance
The tweeter system in the Classic 15 is expertly ventilated, ensuring optimal performance under any load. With a powerful motor and low self-resonance, the tweeter offers high signal integrity beyond the audible range. A small horn-shaped guide around the dome allows for a smooth transition between mid and high frequencies, providing a balanced musical experience even outside the sweet spot. The speaker’s real wood finishes in walnut or cherry, paired with black glass on the front, create an elegant and refined appearance.
And of course, the Classic 15 can also optionally be equipped with the modern VCF II Magnetic M8 plus feet. These feet guarantee perfect decoupling from the floor and protect sensitive surfaces as well.
