The Dali Epicon 2 demonstrates perfectly what this new series is all about: Minimal signal degradation… or put bluntly: Transparency and revelation taken to an – until now – unseen level!
This speaker demonstrates a highly linear and coherent response, and integrates well with small to medium sized rooms. The woofer roll-off is slow, and the speaker reaches deep into the lowest frequencies. All in all, in most setups this will sound like a much larger speaker than it really is.
Within its working range the EPICON 2 will fully match the performance quality of its larger siblings, the EPICON 6 and EPICON 8. This is the new compact speaker for the purist seeking high-performance.

The EPICON 2 is an astounding compact loudspeaker for those looking for high performance in a small form factor. The 2-way design features a 6½" bass driver and a 29 mm soft-cone dome tweeter, which inherit many of the technological breakthroughs of the larger EPICON 6 and EPICON 8 speakers. With highly linear, fantastically coherent sound that truly belies its physical size, the EPICON 2 brings an astounding musical experience to small and medium-sized rooms.
PATENTED SMC
Reducing distorting with Soft Magnetic Compound
For decades, we've specialised in the design of magnet systems. For the EPICON 2, we decided to challenge everyhthing we knew to take magnet system design further than ever before. The answer is a Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) material that offers exactly the right combination of physical properties – exceptionally high magnetic conductivity and extremely low electrical conductivity. The result is a dramatic reduction in distortion caused by mechanical loss in the magnet system.

Extremely smooth and wide horizontal dispersion
The EPICON 2's oversized 29 mm soft dome tweeter is characterised by low resonance frequency, high power handling, exceptional headroom for high sound pressure levels and extreme excursions. This exceptional combination of qualities combine to deliver an extremely smooth and wide horizontal dispersion – a signature DALI quality.
WOOD FIBRE WOOFER
Reproducing the finest details
We believe that low mechanical loss is essential to great sound and were among the first to control frequency response through carefully balanced designs. One such design is our signature wood fibre cone technology, which enables the EPICON 2 to reproduce the finest details and dynamics in any music with very low loss of information.
EXQUISITE CABINET
Rigid construction with beautiful real wood veneer
The EPICON 2's real wood veneer cabinet takes craftsmanship to exceptional heights. With 10 layers of lacquer, hand-polished between each application, it's as durable as it is beautiful. The cabinet also contributes to the sonic performance. Serving as an acoustically tuned ‘spring’ for the drivers, the rigid construction eliminates unwanted resonance, while the curved baffle practically eliminates standing waves.SPECIFICATIONS
