Enhanced Power and Presence
The Audio Physic Classic 8, an evolution of the Classic 5, offers significantly improved presence and power. By incorporating a dedicated woofer with an extra-strong motor system, it provides substantial bass support to the midwoofer. This 2½-way design delivers enough power to easily fill rooms over 20 sqm (215 sqft) with exceptional sound, making it ideal for larger spaces.
Precision and Clarity
Both the woofer and midwoofer use woven glass fibre cones, ensuring low weight and high internal damping. This construction prevents disruptive oscillations, resulting in clearer sound. The midwoofer's fixed phase plug reduces compression effects in the mid-range and helps cool the magnetic motor, enhancing performance in this critical frequency range.
Refined Tweeter Design
Like the Classic 5, the Classic 8 features a silk dome tweeter in a small horn-shaped recess to fine-tune sound radiation at the crossover between mid and high frequencies. This design ensures a balanced, wide soundstage, even for listeners seated outside the ideal listening position, maintaining precision and clarity.
Elegant and Compact
Despite its enhanced capabilities, the Classic 8 remains compact, standing just 55 mm taller than the Classic 5. The slim front baffle minimises unwanted reflections and diffraction, while the sturdy black plinth provides stability and a modern look.
Optional Vibration Control Feet can be added to further improve sound quality and protect floors, making the Classic 8 both a stylish and high-performing speaker.
