Suited to turntables with MM (Moving Magnet) cartridges, the high spec phono stage draws a deep seam of information from your vinyl, letting you hear subtle details from the music that might previously have been missed.

Advanced MTM Driver Array

At the heart of Studio 89’s performance is the MTM (Mid-Tweeter-Mid) Driver Array, which provides the benefits of vertical symmetry and increased dynamic capability. The larger surface area of the bass-mid drivers and enhanced voice coils improve in-room interaction with both the floor and ceiling, delivering a more immersive and expansive sound. Acting as a point source, this design creates wide sound dispersion, resulting in a spacious and enveloping audio experience, ensuring the listener is fully immersed in the music.

High-Tech RDT III and MPD III

The Studio 89’s bass-mid driver cones are built using RDT III technology, a three-layer construction for maximum rigidity and strength. A C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium) outer layer is combined with a Nomex honeycomb core and carbon fibre underlay, producing lightweight yet extremely strong drivers. 

This cutting-edge construction ensures precise sound reproduction with minimal distortion. Additionally, the MPD III (Micro-Pleated Diaphragm) high-frequency transducer offers ultra-fast, smooth, and detailed high frequencies, providing a natural and lifelike soundstage.
