The AUTOMAT series features a fully mechanical automatic system that activates when you press start. This mechanism seamlessly moves the tonearm to the lead-in groove, initiating playback without the need for any additional electronics. Importantly, the mechanical nature of the system ensures that it has no impact on sound quality, maintaining the purity of playback throughout. Additionally, the turntable includes a built-in, switchable phono preamp, providing compatibility with both line inputs and external phono preamps. Pro-Ject also includes its premium Connect it E phono cable, designed to offer superior shielding and performance at an accessible price.
