Pro-Ject Warranty Terms

Pro-Ject Limited Warranty Conditions

All Pro-Ject Audio Systems products are produced under the highest possible level of quality control. Every single product runs through a four-hour testing procedure wherein the mechanical and electrical performances, as well as the sound characteristics, are checked. Only when the product satisfies Pro-ject expert test team may it leave Pro-Ject's factory.

The Pro-Ject Audio Systems warranty is only valid for new products that are purchased from an authorised Pro-Ject Audio Systems retailer.

Authorised Pro-Ject Audio Systems dealers can be recognized by Pro-Ject partner program logos. The best – so called “REFERENCE PARTNERS” – are listed on Project's website. Your local distributor can also provide a comprehensive list of all authorized dealers in your area, as well as if a dealer is a PARTNER, TOP PARTNER or REFERENCE PARTNER. (Click here to find your local Pro-Ject partner)

If a product was bought from a non-authorised dealer, the customer must claim their warranty directly with the retailer.

International Sales and Warranty

Please note that, in general, defective products should be returned to the dealer from whom the product was purchased.

We always recommend customers purchase Pro-Ject's products from a local Pro-Ject Audio Systems partner. Local Pro-Ject Audio Systems dealers always provide the best ratio of price, consultation, demonstration facilities and service.

In the unlikely event that you as a customer have a reasonable complaint and can prove a valid warranty, Pro-Ject Audio Systems, through their national sales organizations (some exceptions listed below) will repair the defective product free of charge (including labour and replacement parts) in any country where an official Pro-Ject Audio Systems distribution is represented.
This complements the national/regional legal requirements of trading partners or national sales organisations and does not restrict in any way the legal rights that you have as a customer.

Warranty: Terms and Conditions

To show confidence in Pro-ject's products and as a way of offering long-term support to customers, Pro-Ject offer a two year warranty that is managed by local distributors (see list of distributors).

  •  A warranty is valid only for products purchased from an authorized Pro-Ject Audio Systems retailer or dealer.
  • This warranty offer is limited to the repair of the equipment (which could be a repair or replacement at Pro-Ject's discretion, neither of which affects your original warranty).
  • Neither transportation or any other costs, nor any risk for removal, transportation and installation of products is covered by this warranty.
  • A warranty is only valid for the original owner. It is not transferable.
  • To validate your warranty, you will need to provide the original sales invoice or other proof of ownership and date of purchase.
  • Warranty must be claimed within two years of purchase from an authorized dealer. After this period of time, the warranty will expire.
  • The legal warranty obligation exists in addition to this warranty and is not limited by this warranty.

 A Pro-Ject Audio Systems warranty relates to claims of defects in materials and/or workmanship at the time of purchase. It does not cover:

  1. Deterioration of component parts, the nature of which is to become worn or depleted with use, such as batteries and headphone ear pads, drive belts and cartridges.
  2. Damages caused by incorrect installation, connection or packing.
  3. Damages caused by any use other than the correct use described in the user manual, negligence, modifications, or use of parts that are not made or authorized by Pro-Ject Audio Systems.
  4. Damages caused by faulty or unsuitable ancillary equipment.
  5. Damages caused by accidents, lightning, water, fire heat, war, public disturbances or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Pro-Ject Audio Systems and its appointed distributors.
  6. Products where the serial number has been altered, deleted, removed or made illegible.
  7. Repairs or modifications that have been executed by an unauthorized person.

Packaging

Products from Pro-Ject Audio Systems are expertly engineered precision instruments, which can get damaged when wrongly used or transported. Packaging is a part of the product.
Please handle packaging and all accessories with care and store them away safely for future use.

If a product is shipped or transported for a warranty claim without the original packaging, or if it is not packed according to the instruction manual, the warranty shall be void, as any damage caused by transportation is not covered by guarantee.

Warranty Extension

If you register your product at register.project-audio.com and subscribe to Pro-Ject's newsletter, in return for the information you provide, Pro-Ject will extend their guarantee from 2 years by one year to 3 years. This offer is only valid for end customers and is limited to products that have been purchased in the last 4 months.

Commercial Use

Faults caused due to using domestic products in commercial environments or on commercial scales are not covered by warranty. Most Pro-Ject products – unless expressly advertised otherwise – are intended for domestic use only. Using them for business applications are done so at your own risk.
