The Chord C-screenX is a shielded speaker cable designed to enhance both audio and home cinema systems, offering a cost-effective upgrade for those seeking top-tier performance on a budget. With its improved XLPE insulation, it joins an esteemed line-up of Chord Company’s shielded cables, including the award-winning ClearwayX, ShawlineX, and EpicX/XL. The goal of the C-screenX design was to create a cable that is both discreet for easy installation and routing, while also delivering the significant performance advantages that shielding provides.

Measuring just 9mm in diameter, C-screenX is highly flexible and easy to navigate around corners and obstacles, making it ideal for both simple and complex setups. Finished with a white outer jacket, the cable blends seamlessly against white skirting boards, protecting the shielding while remaining virtually invisible. The cable is constructed with multi-stranded, oxygen-free copper conductors, which are insulated with XLPE and arranged in a twisted-pair configuration to effectively reduce interference. This is then encased in a PVC jacket, which serves to minimise mechanical noise while ensuring the conductors are properly spaced relative to the dual-foil shielding.
