The Chord Company Shawline HDMI AOC cable features a high-quality chipset at both ends and uses superior OM3 optical fibres, which support over 10 Gigabit bandwidth, in contrast to the typical OM2 fibres limited to 1 Gigabit bandwidth.

The Chord shawline HDMI is offers 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz, with dynamic HDR at UHS 48GBps+.

This design ensures outstanding audio performance and improved 4K/8K HDR picture quality. Heavily shielded to minimise high-frequency (HF) noise interference, the cable maintains excellent signal integrity even in challenging conditions.

The Chord Shawline HDMI AOC is available in standard lengths ranging from 1m to 20m, with custom lengths of up to 50m offered by special order, catering to diverse installation requirements.

Acknowledging the limitations of copper-only cables in handling modern high-bandwidth signals, The Chord Company has adopted a hybrid construction for the Shawline HDMI AOC. Combining 7 copper conductors with 4 optical fibres, the design leverages the advantages of both materials. Unlike TOSLINK cables, which use only optical fibres, this hybrid approach ensures compatibility and performance. The optical fibres resist HF noise, a challenge commonly faced by copper cables, particularly over longer distances. To address this, The Chord Company has incorporated a double aluminium foil shielding system beneath the PVC jacket to protect the copper conductors from external HF noise pollution, ensuring the cable’s reliability for advanced audio-visual systems.

Bought some Rega Kyte speakers, stands and chords from DB online and they were incredibly helpful. They updated my delivery address very quickly and recommended a longer cut of cables which they did complimentary. They also noticed I didn’t order with banana plugs so called me back to double check, which I did mean to order. Probably one of the best companies in the world. They had to special order in the speakers which took a fair bit of time, which is totally understandable, but they kept in touch with me throughout the entire time with updates (even on a Sunday!!!) and once the speakers were with them, they were dispatched and arrived next day.

I have recently purchased a HiFi package with Doug Brady and I could not be more thrilled with my experience with them.
