The 8 switch by English Electric, a new Chord Company brand, is an 8 port GbE Ethernet switch modified and upgraded to our specific requirements for high-performance music streaming networks. Often overlooked in the world of digital streaming network noise and data timing have proved to be crucial in the hi resolution streaming systems we now rely on. So English Electric have produced this the 8Switch and a larger 16Switch the first of what we hope will be many digital upgrades from the new arm of the Chord Company, English Electric.

Eight audio grade 100/1000 Base-T gigabit Ethernet ports make it possible to connect even the most demanding streaming setups. Significant (ie. audible) improvements can be experienced in music playback via streaming services or music stored on a NAS.

The 8switch features low and high electrical noise isolation, reducing data issues that can often be apparent during the playback of high-resolution material.

Probably one of the best companies in the world. I have recently purchased a HiFi package with Doug Brady and I could not be more thrilled with my experience with them.
When I walked into the store, I was made to feel welcome and was introduced to some of the products. I produces a list of specific items I was interested in and John was really helpful in showing me these items. He set the system up so I could experience it, he made some suggestions which made the package even better.
