Ortofon has been designing tonearms since 1953, and these latest models continue the tradition with names inspired by their legendary predecessors. The AS-212R (9”) and AS-309R (12”) are named after the distance between the tonearm pivot point and the turntable spindle. Both models are height-adjustable, making them compatible with a wide range of turntable models.
The Ortofon Reference Tonearms are statically balanced and come with an easy-to-adjust anti-skate dial. Featuring a 5-pin DIN tonearm socket, they offer simple cable upgrades and flexibility for broader system connections, making them easy to integrate into an existing vinyl setup.
Each AS-212R and AS-309R comes with a high-quality 6NX-TSW-1010 5P > RCA tonearm cable and two counterweight options. This allows for a versatile setup, making it easy to pair with various systems and cartridges straight out of the box. Finished to exacting standards and designed with an elegant minimalist style, Ortofon’s Reference Tonearms are crafted to elevate your vinyl listening experience to new heights.
