Atoll CD50 Signature CD Player

The Atoll CD50 Signature CD player is a high-end model designed to achieve the most accurate playback of commercial CDs and burned CDs (CD-R and CD RW in MP3, WMA  or AAC formats). To do this, it benefits from an analog output stage in pure class A and a set of four power supplies. Signal conversion is entrusted to a Burr Brown PCM1793 high-precision DAC.

The Atoll CD50 Signature CD player is entirely designed and assembled in France to strict audiophile standards. It implements a pure Teac audio playback mechanism compatible with commercial CDs, as well as CD-Rs and CD-RW containing MP3, WMA or AAC files. To provide optimal operating conditions for individual elements, the Atoll CD50 Signature player benefits from a set of four regulated power supplies, including a linear transformer power supply for audio stages and a 30 VA linear transformer power supply for digital stages. These power supplies are associated with a balanced scheme and an output stage with discrete components polarized in class A, served by a large current capacity of 8,192 μF.

CD50 Atoll Signature: DAC Burr Brown

To ensure optimal decoding of digital disk streams, the Atoll CD50 Signature player embeds a Burr Brown PCM1793 DAC. This high-end model has a dedicated dual power supply to limit disturbances and ensure very good operating conditions. Thanks to this design, the Atoll CD50 Signature player guarantees a perfect conversion of the streams present on the CDs.

On its back, the Atoll CD50 Signature CD player provides a fixed RCA output, as well as two digital outputs (one optical and one coaxial). It can thus be directly connected to a hi-fi amplifier or be associated with an external DAC. Finally, the control of the CDs is very easy from the control interface of the front of the Atoll CD50 Signature player or from its remote control.
