Ladder Resistor Volume Control
The Auralic ALTAIR G2.2 incorporates a high-performance analogue ladder resistor volume control, recognised for its ability to preserve dynamic range while reducing both signal level and noise floor, unlike digital volume control. It uses eight coil-latch relays that consume no power or emit EMI noise when inactive, ensuring a noise-free and distortion-free experience. Once set, the system remains electronically transparent, enhancing the audio performance.

To achieve exceptional dynamic range, the ALTAIR G2.2 employs high-speed galvanic isolators between the Tesla G3 processing platform and the sensitive audio circuit. These isolators provide complete separation, protecting the DAC from noise interference while enabling flawless data transfer.
