The Neat ULTIMATUM XLS loudspeaker is a stand-mount design that embodies the core principles that have defined the ULTIMATUM project and contributed to its lasting success. Its ultra-rigid birch-plywood enclosure, innovative baffle-decoupling technology, isobaric bass loading, and twin EMIT ribbon-type super-tweeters all work together to deliver the ULTIMATUM promise of long-term musical enjoyment.
The enclosure is arranged into four separate internal cavities, each engineered for a specific purpose. The mid/bass section is tuned for optimal performance within the main enclosure volume, while the HF cabinet is compact to increase rigidity and prevent back pressure from the mid/bass driver from influencing the tweeter’s rear chamber. The two EMIT super-tweeters are also isolated to maintain clarity and precision across the high-frequency range.
XLS Loudspeaker Stands
A dedicated XLS stand is available as an optional extra, featuring an Italian black-slate baseplate, steel uprights, and a tri-laminate steel/bitumen/steel top-plate. M6 spikes couple the stand to the floor, and adhesive putty is provided for securing the speaker to the stand. The rear upright can be filled with lead shot, dry sand, or similar ballast to enhance stability.
Specifically designed for the XLS loudspeaker, the stand provides the ideal foundation, enabling the speaker to perform at its best in any listening environment.
