Building on Success
Continuing the success of LUXMAN'S D-07 CD player, LUXMAN is proud to introduced its the LUXMAN DA-07X, a new high-end D/A converter.
Extensive research and development went into the creation of the Luxman D-07X SACD/CD player, released in 2022, which received high praise from reviewers and disc enthusiasts. Building on the success of this, removing the disc transport and playback protocols, the company was able to focus on improving functionality, sound quality, and performance, resulting in the LUXMAN DA-07, the cutting-edge DAC product.
As streaming has become the modern replacement for CDs, a physical medium that has been popular for over 40 years, audio streaming is now a primary source for music lovers. Streaming services have rapidly gained attention, offering excellent sound quality and user convenience to satisfy today’s audiophiles. With the growing reliance on digital music distribution, standalone D/A converters have become essential, standing alongside traditional components like amplifiers and speakers.
ROHM MUS-IC High Performance DAC
The DA-07X continues the legacy of the DA-06, a popular DAC model released in 2013, while incorporating advanced digital processing technology from LUXMAN's flagship D-10X SACD/CD players. It uses top-of-the-range BD34301EKV DAC chips from ROHM’s “MUS-IC” series, configured in a dual mono setup. Its proprietary USB input provides a powerful high-resolution processing environment, supporting PCM signals up to 768kHz/32bit and DSD data up to 22.5MHz, along with full support for MQA decoding.
Fully Balanced
The analog output section employs fully balanced current-to-voltage conversion, independently handling each DAC chip’s differential outputs in dual mono mode. This setup, combined with high-quality discrete buffer circuitry that also functions as a low-pass filter, delivers a smooth and richly dynamic sound, providing robust output to connected components.
Visually, the DA-07X features a refined white front panel with a large status window and a newly adopted high-definition OLED display, offering a user-friendly interface. As a next-generation USB-equipped D/A converter, the DA-07X delivers an exceptional digital audio experience, handling a wide range of digital inputs while offering meticulously designed analog output circuitry.
It is an ideal component for modern hi-fi systems, pairing seamlessly with network transport units like the NT-07X or high-quality headphone amplifiers such as the P-750u MKII.
How a DAC Improves Your Music
The Luxman DA-07X DAC employs high-quality ROHM chips, ensuring superior performance. Digital sources can suffer from jitter, which is a distortion caused by signal displacement or rotational instability in CDs. High-end DACs like the Luxman DA-07X include jitter removal circuits to deliver a stable output. Additionally, MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is a high-end format for audiophiles, supported by premium DACs such as the DA-07X. Separate DACs, unlike built-in ones, offer better performance, more input options, and advanced features like MQA support.

- High-precision, low-jitter, ultra-low phase noise clock module to eliminate inaccuracies at the oscillation frequency.
- Filter switching function for simulated analog output response (PCM/MQA BYPASS: 2 digital filter modes, DSD: 2 analog filter modes).
- Various low jitter functions shut down unnecessary signal paths, enhancing the quality of the analog outputs.
- Digital output off function closes unused digital routing to further improve analog output quality.
- Front panel output phase switching function offers compatibility for next-stage components (both unbalanced and balanced outputs are switchable).
- DD converter function allows through-routing of digital input signals to digital outputs (1 path each for coaxial and optical outputs; maximum PCM rate is 192kHz/24bit).
Analogue Circuitry:
- High-quality, discrete buffering with fully balanced output architecture (4 identical amplifiers slaved to the differential outputs of the dual DAC chips).
- Highly regulated power supply environment with a large OI-type power transformer and independent regulators for each circuit block, paired with custom-made 10,000µF filter capacitors.
- Utilises LUXMAN’s traditional non-angled circuit board tracing, high-purity OFC internal wiring, and original custom components.
Chassis / Accessories:
