About Doug Brady HiFi

Doug Brady HiFi has been selling high-fidelity since 1960, growing from its original Liverpool shop now into a close-knit team of around ten people based in Warrington. With a long-standing connection to leading brands, the company provides customers with expert service from initial demonstrations through to after-sales care, making it an ideal workplace for those passionate about music and HiFi.

Working Together

Everyone here has a main role, but most of us can cover for each other, and we cross-train so that holidays and busy periods don't leave gaps. How much hi-fi knowledge you need to start with depends on the role: warehouse roles require very little, while showroom roles need a reasonable working knowledge, whether that's gained through previous experience or your own interest as an enthusiast. Either way, nobody arrives knowing everything we sell. Even people joining us from other hi-fi retailers need time to learn our range, so we expect to train everyone. Cross-training also means you'll see more of the business than you might in a larger company, and your ideas will be heard. If you spot something that could work better, you'll usually be trusted to try it.
