Rega Planar 1 Turntable Starter System

Here at Doug Brady we have been helping you put together Hi-Fi systems since 1960, To this day we have sold some of the best music systems ever built from simple starter packages to the eyewatering expensive, these systems light our lives, and bring the most incredible value to your home and it all starts with your first Hi-Fi system.

We have put together some starter systems for you which give the best sound, are simple to set up and are ready enjoy after a just few minutes of set up.

British brand Rega are at the heart of some of the systems, and still design and build there equipment here in the the UK, and we are proud have been supporting them since there small beginnings in 1975, they have been manufacturing some of the best turntables, cartridges and amplifiers for the last 45 years, including the iconic Rega Planar turntable. 

We would always encourage you to visit our showroom to listen to these systems yourself, you can then experience the Doug Brady vibe, which our customers (we are proud to call our friends) have done for the last 60 years. However in these times we realise you may choose to purchase these great systems online or by phone, so by putting together these starter packages our aim is to bring the Doug Brady vibe to your living room. 

We love getting you involved so in this section you can have fun building your own system with the knowledge that all of these options below work perfectly together so you will get the best sounding system for your budget. We have tried to keep this simple but still wanted to give you some options so you can tailor your system to your needs.

• 1 pair of Dali Speakers, Oberon 1 Bookshelf Speakers or upgrade to the Oberon 5 Floorstanding Speakers

Our Rega starter system is ideal way to get you playing your vinyl for the first time. This system has an incredible sound for its price and will offer years of enjoyment. Both the Rega Planar 1 turntable and the Rega io amplifier are made here in the UK whilst the fantastic Dali speakers are from a Denmark. 

Speaker Choice?

This system with the Dali Oberon 1 speakers offers a warm open sound, these award winning speakers offer amazing sound and perfectly match the tone of the rega io or Rotel A10 MKII pure analogue amplifiers, the larger Dali Oberon 5 are a small set of floor standing speakers in the same range, these are a brilliant set of speakers and come highly recommended by us, theses would be a great for all room sizes...

Amplifier Choice?

The new Rega io Amplifier has won multiple awards and is the best entry level you can buy so we have put this together with Rega's Planar 1 Turntable and the amazing Dali speakers, This system has an incredible sound for its price and will offer years of enjoyment.

Amplifier Upgrade options

The Rotel A10 MKII has also won multiple awards and has a more powerful 50w amplifier, this will ensure better dynamics and will have better control the speakers giving you one of the best analogue only systems available today. Together with Rega's Planar 1 Turntable and the amazing Dali speakers, This system has an incredible sound for its price and will offer years of enjoyment. The Bluetooth Option 

The new Mission 778X integrated amp is a great option if you also want access to your digital music collection via the Bluetooth connection. The Mission has a sweet, natural presentation and is also a great match for the Rega Planar 1 turntable offering more power with analogue as well as a variety of digital inputs for just about any type of two-channel audio system. With the Bluetooth apt-X, conectivity so you can stream all your favorite tunes.
