Upgraded Power

The NRG-Y3 AC Power Cable is AudioQuest's latest entry-level mains power cable, featuring direction-controlled Semi-Solid Concentric Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors and ZERO-Tech to minimise system noise. Replacing the NRG-X3, it adopts advanced techniques from the Storm Series, ensuring uncompressed current transfer and reduced RF noise with silver-plated shield drains.

Long-Grain Copper (LGC)

Long-Grain Copper (LGC) reduces distortion caused by grain boundaries within metal conductors.

Semi-Solid Concentric Conductors

Our Semi-Solid Concentric conductor topology ensures strands are tightly packed and remain in fixed positions, significantly minimising strand-interaction distortion.

ZERO-Tech

Unlike most AC power cables, which can constrict audio-provoked transients due to their impedance characteristics, AudioQuest's ZERO-Tech combines low DC resistance with zero characteristic impedance, allowing for uncompressed transients and optimal performance.

Silver-Plated Drain Wires

Direction-controlled silver-plated shield conductors efficiently drain RF noise from the line and neutral shields to ground via the third "ground" pin, resulting in a powerful, dynamic, and immersive audio experience.

Direction-Controlled Conductors

All drawn metal strands have a non-symmetrical grain structure. AudioQuest optimizes the RF impedance by controlling the direction of these grains, ensuring noise is directed away from critical areas. This direction is determined through meticulous listening tests of every batch of metal conductors. Arrows marked on the connectors indicate the correct direction for superior sound quality, as part of AudioQuest's Noise-Dissipation technology, ensuring noise is properly dissipated and drained.

Specification

As standard, the AudioQuest NRG-Y3 is terminated with an IEC-C13 plug socket on the receiver end, which is standard for most consumer grade equipment.
