The audiolab 9000N can play back music via AirPlay II, Tidal Connect (or Spotify Connect), as well as the company's own proprietary streaming app.
The audiolab 9000N app offers immediate access to Qobuz, Tidal and Spotify with full Hi-res MQA content support while also supporting Internet radio services like TuneIn and UPnP music server systems. It supports digital audio files stored on USB HDD devices as well.
The app offers intelligent search functionality, full access to user-created playlists and folders, as well as the ability to create custom track listings. File information is easily accessible within this application through detailed metadata on each songāincluding track name, artist name; album title etc. Qobuz and Tidal users will be pleased to know that, unlike some other apps and platforms, the hi-res and Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) tracks can be easily identified within the app itself.
Unlike comparable technology from other manufacturers, the 9000N oļ¬ers wireless playback over a Wi-Fi connection as well as wired /ethernet connections. The 9000N has several advanced features, including the full album artwork and ESS9038Pro DAC chipset integration.
As any audiophile would expect, the 9000N features state-of-the art digital-to analogue signal conversion. Featuring connectivity via either XLR or RCA outputs, it can be used with any amplifier that offers an analogue connection
To further expand the 9000N's impressive list of digital audio platform compatibility, it is Roon Ready. The device is network-connectedāover ethernet or WiFi networksāand features Roonās own streaming technology built right in.Ā
The 9000N's user interface is more visually appealing than that of most other streaming devices, it displays a variety of information on its screen rather than relying upon the accompanying app for operational feedback and control. The 9000N's display oļ¬ers full menu controls, an array of options, and user settings, including multi-language selection and general display options.
The hardware is based upon a Quad ArmĀ® CortexĀ®-A53 core MCU with 1.8 GHz per Core. This powerful ābrainā behind the system ensures seamless, rock-steady operation and additional beneļ¬ts such as album artwork caching; for faster loading of the accompanying artwork ļ¬les, thus enhancing the user experience and visual aesthetic.
