The AudioQuest JitterBug FMJ is a USB noise filter and improves on the success of the original JitterBug with a full metal jacket for better shielding and an RF-absorbing front cover to reduce interference. It still eliminates unwanted noise travelling through your USB connections but now features enhanced noise dissipation for even cleaner audio.
Features
- Passive filter reduces RF and power supply noise from USB connections
- Works in-series for direct filtering or in-parallel for additional noise reduction
- Full metal jacket design improves shielding and durability
- RF-absorbing front cover minimises interference in unused USB ports
- Enhances audio quality for computers, streamers, smart devices, and car audio systems
- Optimised for use with DragonFly Black and Red DACs
- Compatible with Ethernet streamers, NAS devices, and Bluetooth setups
- Compact and plug-and-play for easy installation
- Improves clarity and detail in music playback
Acting as a passive filter, JitterBug FMJ blocks RF and power supply noise before it reaches sensitive audio equipment. You can use it in-series between a USB source and your device or in-parallel in an unused USB port to absorb additional noise. For best results, AudioQuest recommends pairing it with DragonFly Black or Red DACs.
Reduces RF Noise for Clearer Audio
JitterBug FMJ is designed to minimise radio frequency noise, which can negatively impact audio quality. Reducing interference from digital devices like computers, streamers, NAS, and smart devices helps restore detail and depth to your music. This means a cleaner, more immersive listening experience without distortion.

Flexible In-Series or In-Parallel Use
Place it in-series between a USB source and your device for direct noise filtering, or plug it into an empty USB port in-parallel to absorb additional RF noise from the system’s USB power bus, further reducing interference. This flexibility allows you to experiment and find the best setup for your audio system.

Full Metal Jacket for Enhanced Performance
The new full metal jacket design provides better shielding against interference. It also includes an RF-absorbing “rubber” front cover that helps block additional noise, while inside, dual discrete noise-dissipation circuits work to filter RF and power supply noise, preventing interference from degrading your audio signal.
