It's in the Name
The AudioQuest NRG Monsoon Power Cable delivers exceptional performance, with its robust 18mm diameter allowing substantial current flow for enhanced dynamics and detail. Ideal for various audio/video components, the Monsoon features True Concentric Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) and Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors, optimized for directionality to efficiently drain RF noise. ZERO-Tech ensures uncompressed current transfer, while RF/ND-Tech effectively cancels RF noise, providing a quiet background and impressive dynamic range.
High-Purity True-Concentric PSC+ and LGC Conductors
Monsoon cables feature an outer layer of Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+), with a core of Long-Grain Copper (LGC). This design combines superior metals and conductor geometry to significantly reduce Transient Intermodulation (TIM) Distortion, minimizing ear fatigue.
ZERO-Tech
Unlike typical AC power cables that feature low DC resistance to handle high current, AudioQuest's cables use ZERO characteristic impedance to deliver uncompressed high-current transients. This ensures optimal performance without constricting or compressing audio transients.
RF/ND-Tech
AC ground wires, while protecting against short circuits, also act as antennas for radio-frequency (RF) noise, which can interfere with sensitive audio/video circuits. AudioQuest’s RF/ND-Tech minimizes this noise through advanced noise dissipation technologies, including a common-mode phase-cancelling array and proprietary dielectric materials. This results in exceptional noise reduction across a wide frequency range. (US Patent #8,988,168)
Directionality
Metal conductors have a directional grain structure that affects RF impedance variation. AudioQuest optimizes this by carefully determining the correct direction for each batch of conductors. Directional arrows on connectors ensure that noise is efficiently drained away and performance is maximized, contributing to superior sound quality and system performance.
Which Termination do you you need?
C13 and C19 plugs are types of electrical connectors used to power different devices:
-
C13 Plug: Smaller and commonly used for everyday electronics like computers, monitors, and servers. It connects to a C14 socket.
-
C19 Plug: Larger and designed for high-power equipment like big servers and networking devices. It connects to a C20 socket and can handle more power than the C13.
Please confirm which you need first, the majority of standard equipment will require the C13 Plug.
