Award-winning acting, extraordinary special effects or just the latest reality show - some scenes deserve to be properly heard. The XIO Soundbar transforms the home entertainment experience with transcendent, high-fidelity spatial audio. Powered by a 5.1.2 configuration with spatial audio support and 12 class D amplifiers, the XIO may look like a soundbar, but it delivers sound quality and performance that rival KEF's renowned HiFi systems for your space.

Equipped with a suite of KEF innovations including Uni-Q® MX, P185 LF driver with P-Flex, patent-pending Velocity Control technology (VECO) and the Music Integrity Engine® (MIE) for Cinema, and supporting Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Sony 360 Reality Audio, XIO turns flat screen moments into dynamic, rich, three-dimensional soundscapes and brings your entertainment thrillingly to life. Whatever you might be watching.
High-fidelity Spatial Audio
Delivering hyper-realistic, high-resolution sound, XIO creates a truly cinematic audio experience through a 5.1.2 configuration. Three Uni-Q MX drivers and two full range drivers ensure an expansive soundstage across the main channels, while four P185 LF drivers produce deep, controlled bass. Two Uni-Q MX drivers dedicated to the overhead channels complete the immersive experience. With KEF’s Music Integrity Engine (MIE) for Cinema, XIO supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Sony 360 Reality Audio, and its advanced up-mixing technology intelligently expands the soundstage, converting mono and stereo sources into a rich, spatialised audio environment.
Sound Optimisation
To optimise performance still further, Intelligent Placement Technology ensures that XIO delivers the best possible sound in any placement. This built-in calibration tool automatically adapts the audio output based on the objects around the soundbar. XIO also features adaptive shelf and wall modes for an enhanced audio experience. The result is an uncompromising home theatre experience, tailored to its environment.
Pristine Dialogue
Midrange clarity is key to an exceptional home entertainment experience, and XIO ensures that every word is heard with remarkable detail. A dedicated Dialogue Mode within the EQ presets enhances vocal frequencies while reducing background noise, making speech effortlessly clear. Exceptional sound imaging delivers audio performance that rivals KEF’s renowned HiFi speaker systems, so that whether it’s a whispered conversation or a soaring musical score, every nuance is faithfully reproduced.
Deep, Detailed Bass
XIO’s P185 LF driver, enhanced with KEF’s P-Flex technology, ensures deep and detailed bass performance, offering a level of clarity and power rarely found in a soundbar. The highaspect-ratio racetrack design (18cm/7”x5cm/2”) enables an ultra-slim profile while delivering performance equivalent to a 4” LF driver.

The ample cabinet space allows for twin P185 drivers to be positioned back-to-back in a force-cancelling configuration that significantly reduces mechanical vibrations. This results in a pure and resonant low-frequency response, free from unwanted distortions. Adapted from KEF’s award-winning KC62 and KC92 subwoofers, P-Flex technology resists acoustic pressure within the cabinet, enabling the driver to move with greater precision and achieving deeper bass extension with remarkable clarity.
Precision
The XIO features six Uni-Q MX drivers, the miniature version of KEF’s iconic Uni-Q technology. These drivers ensure a balanced soundstage, delivering crisp, accurate audio across the entire room. The decoupler, engineered as a precise crossover, separates the LF cone and HF tweeter dome, a design that allows the diaphragm to move freely at low frequencies while isolating the dome for high-frequency precision. As a result, the XIO delivers full-bodied, high-fidelity sound for everyone to enjoy no matter where they are in the room.
Revolutionary Sound Correction
KEF’s patent-pending Velocity Control Technology (VECO) is the game-changing built-in sensor at the heart of the P185 LF driver. VECO monitors cone motion in real-time and employs a negative feedback loop to minimise distortion and compression. This ensures that the signal reaching the driver’s voice coil includes the intended musical signal alongside a correction for any deviations in the driver’s motion, maintaining system stability. As a result, distortion is significantly reduced, delivering pristine, undistorted clarity.
Smart
The mastermind behind KEF's signature sound, Music Integrity Engine (MIE) for Cinema is KEF’s in-house written suite of DSP algorithms specially tuned for XIO that offers multi-channel processing, virtualisation and adaptive placement capability. Users benefit from immersive soundscapes that enhance movie watching and the ability to enjoy consistent audio quality regardless of the soundbar's placement.
Stream Anything
The W2 Wireless Platform, adapted from the LS Wireless Collection, offers seamless access to a variety of music services, including Tidal, Amazon Music, Qobuz, and Deezer. You can also stream directly from native apps like Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and QPlay, ensuring full fidelity in your listening experience. Enhanced with Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality Audio, the XIO creates immersive 3D soundscapes from your music, allowing you to fully enjoy every detail.
Perfect fit with today’s TV
Designed for flexibility, the XIO offers HDMI eARC, optical, and the option of RCA subwoofer output. While the soundbar itself has sufficient bass for the majority of use cases, for those looking for that bit extra, any KEF subwoofer can be paired wirelessly with the KW2 RX receiver, an accessory specifically designed to ensure effortless and reliable connectivity.

Complete Control
Navigate settings, adjust audio preferences and manage playback easily through the XIO top panel, via the remote or through the KEF Connect app. Tune your listening experience to suit your taste and your space, and make your preferred adjustments easily, via the normal and expert modes on the EQ settings. Presets include Dialogue mode, which focuses on enhancing speech clarity and intelligibility, ideal for TV shows, documentaries, and news; and Night mode, which is tailored for late-night viewing or situations where lower volume levels are necessary.
KC62 Subwoofer
The Kef KC62 Subwoofer is small very small and has to be heard to be believed, it is capable of producing deep and powerful bass, performance levels that are at complete odds with this compact subwoofer’s football-sized dimensions, with unprecedented depth and breath-taking accuracy delivered in equal measures. The twin drivers are powered by 2 x 500W of specially designed Class D amplification, providing exceptional levels of control and the ability to deliver sudden bursts of power when required. This is thanks to three innovative KEF technologies, the KEF KC62 Uni-Core™ force cancelling subwoofer has changed the rules of subwoofer design forever. The Kef KC62 is a perfect partner for the new Kef LS50 Meta, LS60 Wireless, LS50 Wireless II even the smaller LSX II speakers.
The KC62 is also incredibly versatile, with a collection of connection options that allow it to be used with almost any audio system. Line level/speaker level inputs mean it can be connected to any amplifier, line output with HPF allows for exceptional fine-tuned integration, while KEF SmartConnect eliminates any connection issues. The KC62 is also compatible with the KW1 for wireless compatibility with the minimum of fuss.
The KC62 is not just designed to work sonically within your home, but aesthetically as well. Crafted from extruded aluminium, the curved cabinet perfectly blends form and function, providing strength and beauty. Whilst diminutive enough to blend into the décor, the Carbon Black and Mineral White finishes also make KC62 an exceptionally attractive statement.
Uni-Core™ Technology
At the heart of KC62 is KEF’s innovative, patent-pending Uni-Core driver technology. A completely new take on traditional force cancelling arrangements, the Uni-Core design delivers ultra-compact size and big performance. In order to simultaneously deliver unprecedented performance and the benefits of force cancelling from a compact size, Uni-Core combines both drivers into a single magnet system, with the voice coils concentrically arranged. This allows the cabinet size to be reduced by over a third, while equaling or exceeding the driver excursion of a much larger subwoofer, unlocking more output and depth from less space.
P-Flex Surround (aka Origami Surround)
The second of the three new technologies in KC62 is a brand-new design of driver surround. The new, patent-pending P-Flex surround is engineered to better resist the acoustic pressure in the cabinet without limiting sensitivity in the same way traditional surround designs do. To achieve this, it uses a unique pleated design inspired by Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding, which resists the internal air pressure without adding excessive mass, allowing the driver to move precisely as required by the audio signal. The result is deeper bass extension and a more accurate and detailed bass reproduction.
Smart Distortion Control Technology
The KC62 also innovates with the patent-pending, sensorless Smart Distortion Control Technology. This ground-breaking motional feedback system helps correct any minute abnormalities that may occur. It does this by measuring the current in the voice coil and detecting and correcting any non-linear distortions. This reduces the total harmonic distortion (THD) by up to 75% and thus delivers a more accurate, less coloured bass performance.
Music Integrity Engine
KC62‘s performance is finetuned even further by a bespoke selection of in-house designed DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms in the form of KEF’s Music Integrity Engine. Algorithms including iBX (Intelligent Bass Extension) and SmartLimiter, which constantly analyses the signal to prevent clipping, work together to ensure the perfect relationship between every component.
Turn up the Power
The final piece of the performance puzzle is amplification, which the KC62 has in abundance. The twin drivers are powered by 1,000W RMS (2 x 500W) of specially designed Class D amplification, providing exceptional levels of control and the ability to deliver sudden bursts of power when required, for example when enjoying your favourite high-octane action sequence.
Same performance, everywhere
KC62 slips effortlessly into any environment or listening room, thanks to the five pre-set Room Placement Equalisation feature, which ensures you get the same performance from KC62 no matter where you decide to place it; in free space, next to the wall, in a corner, nestled within a cabinet or using the dedicated apartment mode.
