Placed beneath a turntable or audio player, the APX Ethos acts as a catalyst for great sound by isolating the player from harmful energies and feedback.
The board design is a major component of its performance. A high-quality fibre board has been selected for its consistency across the surface, rigidity and excellent damping properties. Its outer dimensions suit the majority of turntables and audio players on the market, while its low-profile height creates a visually appealing stance beneath the player. The low height is also crucial in achieving a low centre of gravity, providing stability and low-resonance characteristics that are highly significant to sound quality.
The four isolating feet, positioned towards the outer corners, are equally important to performance and create a solid foundation. Precision-machined from 6000-series aluminium, they are substantial in size and connect to the board in an inverted arrangement. This connection plays a major role in isolation, using a soft and resilient polymer to reduce and isolate noise frequencies before they can reach the audio player.
