Here at Doug Brady we have been helping you put together Hi-Fi systems since 1960. To this day we have sold some of the best music systems ever built, from simple starter packages to the eye-wateringly expensive. These systems light up our lives and bring incredible value to your home, and it all starts with your first Hi-Fi system.

We have put together some starter systems for you which give the best sound, are simple to set up and are ready to enjoy after just a few minutes of set up.  

British brand Rega are at the heart of some of these systems and still design and build their equipment here in the UK. We are proud to have been supporting them since their small beginnings in 1975. They have been manufacturing some of the best turntables, cartridges and amplifiers for the last 45 years, including the iconic Rega Planar turntable. 

We would always encourage you to visit our showroom to listen to these systems yourself. You can then experience the Doug Brady vibe, which our customers (who we are proud to call our friends) have enjoyed for the last 60 years. However, in these times we realise you may choose to purchase these great systems online or by phone, so by putting together these starter packages our aim is to bring the Doug Brady vibe to your living room.

Our Rega starter system is an ideal way to get you playing your vinyl for the first time. This system has an incredible sound for its price and will offer years of enjoyment. Both the Rega Planar 1 turntable and the Rega IO amplifier are made here in the UK, whilst the fantastic Dali speakers are from Denmark. 

Speaker Choice

With the Dali Sonik 1 Bookshelf Speaker, you'll get the same quality with more warm and openness. These follow up the award-winning Dali Oberon speakers, offering amazing sound and perfectly matching the tone of the Rega IO or Mission 778X pure analogue amplifiers. 

The larger Dali Sonik 5 Floorstanding Speakers are a small set of floorstanding speakers in the same range. These are a brilliant set of speakers and come highly recommended by us. These would be great for all room sizes.

Amplifier Choice

Best Entry Level

The Rega IO Amplifier has won multiple awards and is the best entry-level amplifier you can buy, so we have put this together with Rega's Planar 1 Turntable and the amazing Dali speakers.

This system has an incredible sound for its price and will offer years of enjoyment.

Best Digital & Analogue Option

The Mission 778X Integrated Amp is a great option if you want access to your digital music collection via the Bluetooth connection.

The Mission has a sweet, natural presentation and is also a great match for the Rega Planar 1 turntable, offering more power for analogue as well as a variety of digital inputs for just about any type of two-channel audio system. With Bluetooth aptX connectivity, you can stream all your favourite tunes. This combination has a natural sound that is very pure and sweet, almost old-school tube-like, yet with all the detail.
