ClearwayX features 14 AWG multi-strand oxygen-free copper conductors, which are sufficiently large to bring control and definition to both bookshelf and floor-standing speakers. These conductors are arranged in a twisted pair configuration, which helps reduce interference and optimise signal clarity. To further enhance its performance, a soft PVC internal jacket is applied to minimise mechanical noise and properly space the twin contra-wound foil shields in relation to the conductors, ensuring minimal distortion and greater accuracy in the sound reproduction.

The ClearwayX is available both in terminated pairs, fitted with ChordOhmic connectors, and as a per-metre option off the reel. Many authorised Chord Company dealers offer demonstration sets, allowing potential customers to experience the cable's exceptional performance firsthand.
