The Planar 1 Plus & Planar 1 turntables have had a make over with premium Matt Black & Matt White finishes. This versions will be supplied as standard with the premium EBLT drive belt which delivers greater accuracy and improved speed performance.
The Walnut finish is constructed from the same high rigidity premium laminate used on the standard matt P1. This is an attractive, high quality, realistic finish which is supplied as standard with the premium smoked dustcover to set off the design.
The Planar 1 Plus benefits from all of the advantages of its sibling, the Planar 1, such as a low noise 24v motor, precision hub bearing assembly and hand made RB110 tonearm with a factory fitted Rega Carbon cartridge.
Added to the Planar 1 plus is a phono stage (preamp) built into the unit. This boosts the sound output to line level which allows connection to powered speakers or amplifiers that don't have a phono stage.

Features
The new model features Rega’s RB110 tonearm, equipped with bespoke zero-play bearings for exceptionally low friction and a redesigned bias assembly with automatic adjustment, making it the most plug-and-play turntable Rega has produced. It comes fitted with a Rega Carbon cartridge as standard, while the 24v synchronous AC motor, paired with a new PCB and aluminium pulley, delivers reduced noise and enhanced speed stability. The thermoset, gloss-laminated plinth offers a noticeably refined appearance, complete with a newly positioned underside power switch and a choice of gloss black or gloss white finishes.
Engineering improvements continue throughout the design, including a re-engineered brass main bearing to minimise stress and unwanted energy transfer, and a new 23mm high-mass phenolic platter that offers a stronger flywheel effect for steadier rotation. Revised feet improve overall stability and reduce vibration, while a new motor cover tray provides integrated cooling. The package is completed with a 111g plug-and-play balance weight for straightforward setup and dependable performance.
